Diabetes Upskilling | Diabetes & COVID-19 Vaccine

12 April @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

The goal of this presentation is to improve your confidence in having conversations with your clients/patients living with diabetes to help them make an informed choice regarding the COVID-19 Vaccine. In this HP update, we will cover some of the social implications surrounding the COVID-19 vaccine, and the international risks observed for people living with diabetes and COVID-19 infection. The majority of the presentation will cover the scientific development of Australia’s current and proposed COVID-19 vaccines, the pharmacology behind their mechanism of action, and outlining the similarities and differences between these vaccines and other vaccines on the market.

Diabetes WA helps build diabetes management capacity in WA by providing regular updates for health professionals through the channel of telehealth. Join us for free professional development, in the comfort of your own workplace or home*.
