DESCRIPTION:The Rural Health West CPD REACT+ workshop is designed to assist Western Australian Visiting Medical Practitioners to maintain their emergency knowledge and skills\, and gain formal assessment towards their emergency credentialing\, as required by WA Country Health Service. Covering medical emergencies\, major trauma and cardiac arrest in adults and children\, and associated lifesaving procedural skills training\, REACT+ is a highly interactive workshop. Recognising Depression is an interactive program that aims to provide pharmacists and pharmacy staff with general mental health literacy\, signs and impact of depression and practical strategies to support the mental health of people in their community. \nThis training aims to increase the skills and confidence of pharmacists and pharmacy staff to: \n\nHave a conversation with someone who you suspect to be experiencing depression or suicidal thoughts.\nIdentify evidence-based tools and resources that can be utilised to support those experiencing mental health issues.\nHighlight and understand the important role pharmacists play when intervening with common mental health issues.
